What I do at Checkit
This role is responsible for the Operations & Delivery within Checkit US. It operates across the range of Checkit Connected Automated Monitoring (CAM+), Connected Automated Monitoring (CAM), and Connected Workflow Management (CWM) products. Being involved alongside the US MD at the bid or project scoping and costing stage, the resource planning stage, the implementation and rollout phase and finally the BAU maintenance & support stage. The role reports to the Group Chief Operations Officer and works in close collaboration with the US MD and Checkit colleagues in the Customer Support, Product and Finance teams.
The role directly line Manages the (Business Support Manager) and the (Service Support Specialist).
Who am I?
I began my career as a Field Engineer with Eastman Koday based out of Denver, CO. I spent 23 years with Kodak in many roles from FE, Field Specialist, Worldwide training specialists, and sales manager. I came to work for Checkit, formerly Next Controls in 2013 and currently run Operations in North America Checkit. We currently have over 600 customers located in 46 states and Canada that require installation and Calibration services of the Checkit product line. My extensive background working in the Field enables me to understand the challenges that face my engineers and help to remove these obstacles so each one of them can be as successful as possible.
Advice for prospective candidates
If you are self-motivated and like your independence, this is the job for you. You will not have anyone looking over your shoulder and will be responsible for your own travel arrangements. You must be organized and detailed in your work. You will be required to travel a minimum of 3 days a week to customer sites to perform annual calibrations and new site installations.
